Ever Evil Evolution Fraud

After surveying his granddaughter’s Biology textbook, The old man shouted, “There outta be a law!”  Where criminal laws are concerned, laws against fraud are basic and ubiquitous in our penal codes. Keen minded Berkley Criminal Law Professor Phillip Johnson points out that “a stock promoter could not get away with the kind of intentional misrepresentations being publicly foisted by Darwinian Evolutionists without being thrown in jail.”  While most fields of science, such as Physics, or Chemistry (discounting “our nefarious hero” Walter White) remain honorable truth seeking pursuits, the area of Evolutionary Biology has lurched into a materialist agenda driven advocacy where Darwinian Evolution has become   a religion.  The scientific establishment treats its principles as sacrosanct and unchallengeable; this is a necessity since there is little to no evidence in support of the theory of evolution. Especially damning, from the standpoint of evolution zealots, is the long standing existence of fraud since the publication of Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species in 1859.  The perpetration of fraud, where evolution is concerned, has ratcheted-up mightily following the “Scopes Monkey Trial” of 1925.  Professor Johnson relates an enlightening account of this regrettable episode in American history in his seminal book Darwin On Trial (1991).  For evolutionists, who apparently don’t read, Stanley Kramer’s Hollywood version of the Scopes Trial from Inherit the Wind (1960) should prove “very satisfying.”

Even honest scientists, those without an agenda, who are seekers of truth, do not have a problem with evolution when defined as “change over time.”  What raises the hackles of genuine scientists, and the informed public, is the promotion, at tax payer expense, of the groundless theory of Darwinian Evolution that serves to undermine Christian belief and the moral foundations of all three monotheistic religions.  Evolution functions as a religion since it is a belief system passionately defended by Darwinian zealots despite a complete lack of supporting evidence and a shameful history of fraud and deceit.  Dr. Jonathan Wells credibly chronicles evolution’s history of fraud in his important volume Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth? Why Much of What We Teach About Evolution Is Wrong (2000).  Most damaging of all, Wells reveals how these evolutionary lies have been inserted into impressionable student’s textbooks and regularly remain there years after the error has been exposed.  This consistent deceitful dissemination of lies is a concerted effort by those with a materialist anti-God agenda to hoodwink and indoctrinate unwary, trusting young people into believing that our biosphere “evolved” by spontaneous generation from inorganic matter.  It is inconceivable to me (and Wallace Shawn) that the source of the matter from which everything supposably (“supposably”?) evolved isn’t considered; much less, how in the heck anything exists at all!  Luminaries like Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins and Bertrand Russell have boosted their popularity by uttering nonsensical statements like “The universe created itself fromnothing.”  No light, no air, no gravity, no time, no energy, just…nothing.  “Of course! It’s all so clear to me now.  Why didn’t I think of that?”  Perhaps, because I’m not a delusional, self-important narcissist.  The only way these celebrities of science are able to get away with such asinine comments, such as, “The universe is just there.” (Russell) is they realize a receptive audience is in place to noddingly affirm their designer-less anti-God pronouncements.

Ever since the publication of Michael Denton’s Evolution: A Theory in Crisis in 1985, the scientific establishment has been put on notice that evolution has become modern science’s version of “the Emperor with No Clothes.”  Accomplished, free thinking scientists like Michael Behe, author of Darwin’s Black Box (1996) and father of the idea of irreducible complexity, began to realize that there was substance behind doubts concerning the soundness and plausibility of evolutionary theory.  Evolution is a theory in name only since it can’t be observed and tested in the way of all other theories of science.  When encountering an untestable theory like evolution, Christian apologist John Warwick Montgomery, whom Norm Geisler calls “a genius,” uproariously states that “The theory isn’t right; it isn’t even wrong.”  Much worse, from a technical standpoint, the theory of evolution doesn’t even qualify as a theory.  Perhaps it could be considered a flawed hypothesis.

Due to the mountains of evidence rising to quash the groundless theory of evolution (see S.C. Meyer’s Darwin’s Doubt (2014), Darwinists must continually move the goal line to rescue their failed pseudo–science religion.  One way evolution zealots attempt to rescue their failed faith is to redefine critical terminology, and to play semantic games in order to produce obfuscation.  Another common tactic, ably pointed out by Jonathan Wells, is to simply distort the evidence in order to misrepresent that evidence’s true meaning.  Attempting to “explain away” (Lie actually) the abysmal fossil record is a prime example.  Meyer’s Darwin’s Doubt provides a comprehensive and cogent explanation of the abrupt (supernatural) appearance of life in the fossil record.  Darwinists are so committed to protecting their evolutionary worldview,“sacred cow”they will abandon logic and employ circular reasoning in defense of the faith.

The weight of the remainder of this paper will concern chronicling six of the more prominent and appalling examples of evolution fraud that have influenced popular culture via their dissemination in textbooks and indoctrination lectures in the classroom.  (Think Orwell’s Two Minutes of Hate directed at Emmanuel Goldstein and you will arrive in the vicinity of Wrigley Field.)  JB’s six categories of evolution fraud will be as follows: the fossil record, the Miller-Urey experiment , Haeckel’s fake embryo drawings, mutant fruit flies, the case of the human eye and irreducible complexity in the cell and nature, last and best of the evolution frauds, from Ape to Man; with an account of the outrageous Piltdown Man Hoax.

To kick-off this ugly parade of fraud, we will start with the man mis-credited for the theory of evolution, Charles Darwin.  Charles Darwin was a competent self-trained scientist who essentially inherited his theory from his grandfather Erasmus Darwin (1731-1802).  A prominent English physician, he espoused all the important principles of evolutionary theory.  He accepted the possibility that “the principal force in animal evolution was active adaptation to environment, including inherited acquired characteristics.”  Charles went out of his way to never mention, or share credit with, Erasmus Darwin; treating the ideas from his book as his own.  Descent with modification had a long history before the rushed publication of On the Origin of Species.  William Paley, a man Darwin was known to have read, published his ideas on natural selection as early as 1802!  Darwin “borrowed freely,” that is to say “got the whole idea” from the published works of creationist Edward Blythe in 1835 where he described “natural selection and survival of the fittest in its purest sense.”  The true intellectual father of the idea of evolution was the preeminent author and philosopher Herbert Spencer who coined the term “survival of the fittest” in his “Theory of Population” in 1852.  No ideas from the Origin of Species can be credited to Darwin as being original except that he was the one who provided a cohesive text to pull preexisting evolutionary ideas together.  Popular support had been slowly building for this Godless evolutionary idea for decades.  It is hopeful that while the nonsensical idea of evolution has been popular within the scientific community,  it has not enjoyed the same level of support from the public at large.

What Philosopher of Science Stephen Meyer has politely referred to as “Darwin’s Doubt,” that being a gap riddled fossil record devoid of any intermediate transitional species, has grown into a monstrous nightmare for the disingenuous Darwinist.  After the excavation of millions of tons of dirt over the past 164 years, no “Holy Grail” evidence of a transitional species has emerged as Darwin, Cleese, Palin, Idle, or Chapman had hoped and assumed would be unearthed.

Let’s review some of Darwin’s own quotes on his concern over a disastrous fossil record in order to support JustBelief’s contention that “If Darwin were alive today, not even he would be a Darwinist!”

Sorry Charlie, only the best scientific theories can pass the credibility test.  No matter how many desperate attempts are made by “true believers” to explain away the dismal fossil record, many animals suddenly appeared without evidence of any ancestors in earlier layers of rock.  Admission of this sort of “special creation” suggested by the fossil record is anathema to evolutionists whose religion demands a predetermined outcome of descent with gradual modification; “Evidence be damned!”

Next in Miller Huggins’ lineup is the case of the Miller-Urey experiment.  Stanley Miller may have been a grad student at the time of his experiment, but he was the only honest scientist in the “Six Frauds of Evolution” Line-up.  The famous Miller-Urey experiment of 1953 was an attempt to duplicate spontaneous origins.  The experiment produced amino acids in a laboratory (not in an “open system”)   and was considered evidence that the first step in the origins of life had been demonstrated.  By 1980 however, most geochemists had concluded that the Earth’s atmosphere did not consist of the elements that Miller had employed but were likely volcanic gases instead.

Ultimately, the Miller-Urey experiment could not succeed in producing amino acids from a realistic mixture of gases.  It seems that not even man’s intelligence and manipulation can produce the beginnings of life; even in a laboratory.  Synthetic organic chemist James Tour makes a cogent point  that “Even if we could explain how life’s chemical building blocks formed on the early Earth, we would still be a very long way from explaining how they assembled themselves into a living cell.”  This would be an irreducibly complex cell featuring nanotechnologies of which Darwin was unaware. JustBelief All-Star of Apologetics  Frank Turek notes that the brilliant Bill Dembski describes the completely improbable initial formation of the cell as “irreducible complexity on steroids;” and that may be an understatement!

Evolution fraud is exposed by the decisions of the educational establishments throughout America to intentionally place discredited false material into school textbooks for the purpose of persuading young people that the Earth had materialistic origins.  As of 2017, the publication date of Jonathan Wells’ Zombie Science, several popular textbooks were still using the Miller-Urey experiment to convince students that life originated spontaneously from chemicals on the early Earth.  In his YouTube video presenting his book Zombie Science, Dr. Wells states his belief that the Miller experiment continues to be placed in textbooks because “the science education establishment is determined to indoctrinate students in a grand materialistic story.”  “Icons of Evolution, such as Miller-Urey, serve to illustrate the story, but they misrepresent the evidence.”

Darwin was well aware of the how devastating the fossil record was to his theory of evolution.  It was for this reason that Darwin believed that embryology provided “by far the strongest single class of facts in favor of his theory.”  Darwin leaned heavily on the vertebrate drawings of German biologist Ernst Haeckle; even choosing to insert them into his later editions of Origin of the Species.  His faked drawings have become one of the most persisting “Icons of Evolution” being employed in textbooks and popular media for over 150 years.  Haeckel’s contemporaries accused him of fraud for distorting his drawings to make the embryos appear more alike than they really were. The reason for their suspicions of fraud was obvious.  Not only had Haeckel “cherry picked” the embryos he chose to portray, it was apparent to the human eye that he had “fudged” his drawings revealing a pro-Darwinian anti-design bias.

“In 1997, Michael Richardson and a team of experts published photographs of actual embryos and compared them to the oft-employed Haeckel drawings.  Due to the obvious discrepancy between the photos and Haeckel’s drawings, he stated in Science Magazine that “It looks like it’s turning out to be one of the most famous fakes in biology.”  (Bear in mind that “fake” means an intentional deception.)  Acclaimed paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould wrote in 2000 that we should all be “astonished and ashamed of the century of mindless (actually “intentional”) recycling that has led to the persistence of these drawings in the majority of modern textbooks.”  The case of fraud against Haeckle, of which Darwin became a willing participant through the dissemination of misinformation in his book, is far worse than this short paper has space to relate.  Please consider that Haeckle avoided the inclusion of embryos in their earliest stages in order to create the appearance of similarity in the vertebrates.  An honest full disclosure would have been almost as damning to Darwinism as the fossil record!  For desperate Darwinists, Haeckel’s drawings turn out to be another embarrassing dead end.  Evolution continues to be a theory in search of support composed of speculation and conjecture.

Another disgraced “Icon of Evolution” haunting our young people’s textbooks is the case of the mutant fruit fly.  As we shall soon discover, the case of the four-winged fruit fly is rife with misleading narrative.  To grasp JB’s account of fraud, it is important to know that normal fruit flies have one pair of wings.  Behind each wing is a tiny “balancer” that vibrates rapidly during flight to stabilize the fly in flight.

“In the 1970s, Cal Tech geneticist Edward Lewis combined three separate DNA mutations in a fruit fly embryo in order to transform the balancers into a pair of normal looking wings.  Rather than providing support for the neo-Darwinian theory that DNA mutations provide the raw material for evolution, the extra pair of inert (read “useless”) mutant wings only serve to demonstrate that any mutation in DNA only results in degradation and loss of function.  “Many recent textbooks use four-winged fruit flies to convince students that DNA mutations can produce dramatic changes that provide the raw materials for evolution.  None of these textbooks mention that four-winged fruit flies are helpless cripples; that they are evolutionary dead ends.”  (Jonathan Wells from YouTube video “Zombie Science”)  That Darwinists choose not to share this vital information can only be considered a “crime of omission.”  We are now left with a mutant fruit fly that can only live within the friendly confines of Wrigley Field…provided a suitable laboratory is in place.  Not only can the fly not fly, it is incapable of reproduction and of survival.  If “Freddy” the Fruit Fly had been an orphaned lioness called “Elsa,” you certainly would not want to release him into the wild while crooning that insufferable ballad! (lame contrib. from JB, not Dr. Wells)

Jonathan Wells points out on his YouTube video “Zombie Science” that no matter what is done to a fruit fly embryo, there are only three possible outcomes  –  a normal fruit fly,  a defective mutant fruit fly,  or a dead fruit fly.  Not even a horsefly, much less a horse.  Thank you Groucho Wells, who reminds us that “Time flies like an arrow….fruit flies like a banana.”  (Oh my! I do seem to be developing an affinity for evolutionary humor.)

Since this area of Evolution Fraud is becoming entirely too comedic, we should soldier on and tackle the subject of the “development of the human eye and irreducible complexity in the cell and nature at large.  The concept of irreducible complexity was first raised in 1996 by Michael Behe in Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution.  Behe, like Wells, seems a very humble conscientious scientist. He made his bones discussing the amazing workings of the bacterial flagellum as the poster child for irreducible complexity (IR).  IR is defined by Dr. Behe as “a single system composed of several well-matched, interacting parts that contribute to the basic function , where in the removal of any one of the parts causes the system to cease functioning.” (Darwin’s Black Box, p.39) According to Behe, an irreducibly complex system cannot be the result of natural selection, which kicks in only after the basic function is in place.  The next  section of Evolution Fraud will focus on the “evolution” of the human eye.

In On the Origin of Species, Darwin acknowledged that the human eye presented a problem for his theory.  How could such a complex organ have evolved through successive slight modifications?  Darwin himself stated, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.” (It would seem the human eye has these qualities in spades!)  For Darwin, “the light sensitive spot in the human eye was a “black box” that performed a function whose inner workings are unknown.”  (Bear in mind that before the invention of the electron microscope, the cell itself was a “black box.”)  Please follow Jonathan Wells’ explanation in his Politically Incorrect Guide to Darwinism and Intelligent Design (2006), p.110-111 regarding the irreducible complex functioning of the human eye.  “When light strikes the human retina it is absorbed by a molecule that alters an attached protein, which then initiates what biochemists call a “cascade” – a precisely integrated series of molecular reactions – that causes a nerve impulse to be transmitted to the brain.  If any molecule in the cascade is missing or defective, no nerve impulse is transmitted; the person is blind.  Since the light sensing mechanism doesn’t function at all unless every part is present, it is irreducibly complex.”   And just to think Papa; all this was achieved through an unguided process of successive random mutations.  Ain’t evolution wonderful!  It’s like magic…but without a magician.(A special thanks to voice talent Shelley Duvall)

As any 4^th Grader knows, the survival of any species necessarily requires the arrival of a fully formed functional animal with a perfect system of vision in place;  Anything less would be a death sentence.Only the blind faith of an evolutionary “true believer” could possibly conceive of such an improbable scenario of descent by gradual modification applying to the human eye, or any other species in nature.  As Sir Fred Hoyle and mathematician Chadwick Wickramasinghe demonstrated, the amount of time needed to produce even a single cell is far beyond the 3.5 billion years life has supposedly existed on planet Earth.   For evolution to produce a peregrine falcon or sentient human in that amount of time, is far beyond the realm of mathematical possibility and would enter the realm of fantasy.  This sort of wishful thinking could only be the product of a delusional “wicked” mind. (Sorry Dr. Dawkins, but “Homey don’t play that.” ) Sir Damon Wayans, In Living Color (1991).

Another “popular” example of evolution fraud that sullied our textbooks for generations was the case of archaeopteryx.  A complete fossil representation of Archaeopteryx  was discovered in 1861.  It was touted as an intermediate between reptiles and birds, and therefore a “triumph” of Darwinian evolutionary theory.  What was presumed to be a transitional species turned out to be a bird in full. (In addition, birds dated 75 million years before archaeopteryx have since been discovered.)  This misdated, misidentified Icon of Evolution is now recognized as one of the earliest deceptive schemes of Darwinism promoting evolutionary change from one species to another (“speciation”).  This mislabeled product should have been removed from textbooks many years before the truth was revealed.  John Morris, like his father Henry, was a member of First Dallas and President of the Institute for Creation Research before his passing in early 2023.  Morris lamented that archaeopteryx continued to be used as an example of a transitional species well into the 21^st Century.  This seems to JB to be a prime example of the ongoing Darwinist argument promoting evolution.  This “ongoing argument” should be considered more of a “continuous bluff.”  Apparently, evolutionist believe that “nothin’ can be a real cool hand;”  because as Dragline states, “Da just keep coming back wit nuthen!”  Cool Hand Luke (1967)

Last and best in the Evolution Fraud Parade is Jonathan Wells’ “Ultimate Icon” of evolutionary evidence, demonstrating the link from Ape to Man.  For JustBelief, the Piltdown Man Hoax is the most revealing of the many examples of the lengths which Darwinian Evolutionists will travel to hoodwink the public into believing that man experienced a common descent from primordial slime to apes through to man.  Darwinists are at their most desperate when attempting to “demon”-strate the missing link between ape and man. (Note, it is not just the” link” that is missing, the entire chain is missing!) Let’s skip Hoyle’s “tornado thru the junkyard” analogy of the utter statistical impossibility of the development of the irreducibly complex first cell and climb “monkey style” to the top of the evolutionary “Tree of Life.”  From Tarzan’s perch, we can survey “Evolution Fraud” where the origin of man is concerned.

In 1922, 10 years after the famous Piltdown Man “Discovery,” the single tooth of an extinct pig was discovered. (A herd of these “extinct” peccaries were found living in Paraguay in 1972.)  Scientists applied wild imagination to “prove” the existence of a prehistoric race in America.  Though useful for the Scopes Monkey Trial, when the truth about Nebraska Man was revealed, it received very little publicity. (Because these embarrassing retractions don’t support the humanist narrative, they never seem to receive the same fanfare and headlines that accompany important evolutionary “discoveries.”)  The scenario repeated itself in the 1920s when a horse tooth was used to fancifully create the Southwest Colorado Man.  Scott Huse writes in The Collapse of Evolution p.135 (1983), “Give them one tooth, not necessarily human, and scientists can create an entire race of prehistoric humanity.”  (Like Mormon doctrine, scientific facts are constantly changing, and theories are being revised; isn’t it interesting that the anvil of the Bible never changes as “little man’s” humanist hammers lie broken all around!)

Once again, paleontologists used thin evidence and various bone fragments collected from different locations (including a river bed!) to produce the Java Ape-Man.  No evidence exists that the bones even came from the same animal.  Java Man is now thought to be a gibbon monkey.  (This degree of error should be considered a “triumph” for an evolutionist since a monkey is far closer to a man than a horse, or a pig.)  JB has observed that scientists regularly will use gross extrapolations to create the impression that the evolution from animals (bacteria, amoeba, worm, Sleestak, ape) to man should be considered fact.  The next Java Man (1926) also turned out to be in-human and was merely the knee bone of an extinct elephant.  Imagine that! It would seem that God really does have a sense of humor when it comes to humbling Godless scientists. (Wild imagination is essential for a Darwinist with a humanist agenda.)

Dear Abby would have to place Lucy under the heading Desperate and Delusional in Academia.  The world famous Lucy was discovered between the years 1972 and 1977.  Lucy was presented as “proof” of evolution for purposes of indoctrination.  Lucy’s story, which appeared in nearly all school textbooks throughout America, was a sordid story of a fake intermediate link.  Lucy’s severely crushed knee joint that was used to prove she walked upright was “found more than 200 feet lower in the strata and more than two miles away!”  (Huse, p.139)  Since a bone grinder was employed on Lucy’s hips, the conclusion that Lucy was bipedal is pure speculation.  “Lucy and her relatives are probably just varieties of apes.”   Lucy adamantly claims however, that “They are all from Ricky’s side.”

Neanderthal man was misclassified for decades by the scientific community labeling them as something more akin to the Geico caveman than to our human cousins. Scientific error is particularly offensive to those of us with a relatively large percentage of Neanderthal blood.  Neanderthals were not grunting brutes, but were fully human and were well-endowed with large brains and funny bones. So there!

In typically brutal fashion, JustBelief will close out the Evolutionary Fraud Parade with a Ruthian account of the Piltdown Man Hoax.  (This sordid story will soon be posted as an article for JustBelief.org.)

The now infamous Piltdown Man Hoax was perpetrated on the world by amateur fossilologist Charles Dawson and young French Jesuit Priest Pierre Tielhard de Chardin.  Tielhard would later become a world renowned mystic whose work would lead the Catholic Church (and the world!) down a heretical modern “New Age” path.  Dawson’s “discovery” of the missing link, or the “First Englishman,” was considered the most important archeological find in history.  Dawson’s clumsy, “ham handed,” amateurish attempt  at fakery, consisting of a stained skull, an altered broken orangutan jaw, and filed down teeth should have been recognized immediately as an obvious fraud.  The fact that it “passed muster” with the scientific community has to be considered the most significant case of confirmation bias in history.  (Musician Ray Davies’ mantra,  “Give the people what they want and they’ll get what they deserve” never proved more true.)

Miles Russell’s The Piltdown Man Hoax: Case Closed (2012) places the Piltdown Hoax squarely on the shoulders of an amiable Charles Dawson. Russell writes that Dawson was “without doubt the ultimate designer, creator, and instigator of the Piltdown Hoax.” In the introduction to Russell’s book, he captures the essence and significance of the Piltdown affair. “Between 1908 and 1912, the discovery of human skull fragments, an ape-like jaw and crudely worked flints close to Piltdown was hailed by the world’s press as the most sensational archaeological find ever: the ‘missing link’ that conclusively proved Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. Piltdown became head-line news again when 41 years after its discovery (1953) the world was informed that Piltdown Man never actually existed; the London Star calling it ‘the biggest scientific hoax of the century.’ (or any century – JB) There had never been a ‘missing link’ preserved in the gravels of Piltdown; the whole discovery had been part of an elaborate and complete archaeological forgery. The ‘Earliest Englishman’ was nothing more than a cheap fraud.”

After keeping a lid on the evidence for 40 years, the scientific establishment in Britain finally allowed testing of the actual bones at issue.  The fraud was easily exposed through chemical testing and carbon dating in 1949.  The evidence was eventually released to the world in 1953; just in time for Miller-Urey.  Rather than proving an occasion for shame-faced embarrassment, this intentional deception was celebrated as a case of “scientific self-correction.”   (In the mean time (1912-1953), billions of people went to their graves believing in the falsehood that man evolved from an ape and the biblical account in Genesis was a fairytale.  No apologies by scientific humanists have been offered for the destruction of the Christian worldview and the consequent damnation of many unbelieving souls.)  This forgery turned out to be one of many fake discoveries attributable to the “Wizard of Sussex” who had an “uncanny knack” for making amazing archeological fossil finds. (Note that the location and details of Dawson’s finds were always very sketchy, and should have aroused suspicion.  Dawson never revealed the site of Piltdown #2 of 1915 where he made use of the same orangutan parts to shore up his first miraculous Piltdown discovery.)  Dr. Monty White reports that “The exposure of Piltdown Man as a fraud is not unique.  The case of the“peppered moth,” as well as Archeoraptor, were exposed as glued together fakery.”   Darwinist Jerry Coyne, among others, has had the honesty to admit embarrassment that these cases were placed in textbooks for many years serving to deceive impressionable youth into accepting a materialistic worldview.  It is more than curious that after Dawson’s death in 1916, the well went dry for any further earth shaking archeological finds; proving that even the powers of a “Wizard” are limited.

The evidence implicating Tielhard de Chardin in the Piltdown Conspiracy was so overwhelming that a conference of globalists was convened in 2016 to place the blame for the hoax on Charles Dawson.  This strained conclusion served to extricate an occultic “Saint” of the New Age Movement whose anti-God influence could in no way be undermined.  A typically Darwinist racial motivation for the Piltdown Fraud has been revealed as well since the discovery moved the spotlight away from Africa and to the European Continent.  Legitimate fossil discoveries, such as Raymond Dart’s Taung Child of 1924, were prejudicially discounted since they didn’t jive with the fabricated evidence from Piltdown. (A more complete account of the racist aspects of Charles Darwin’s work and influence will be forthcoming.)  Renowned Harvard paleontologist Stephen Gould in “The Piltdown Conspiracy” wrote “Piltdown absorbed the professional attention of many fine scientists. It led millions of people astray for forty years.”  Eminent paleontologist J.S. Weiner quotes Richard Harter in “The Piltdown Forgery” that “This ill-begotten form of primitive man…received more attention than all the legitimate specimens in the record put together.”  Scott Huse writes, “over 500 doctoral dissertations were devoted to Piltdown.” (The Collapse of Evolution, p.137)

A committed Darwinist, and the most respected paleontologist of the 20^th Century, Stephan Jay Gould fingered Pierre Tielhard de Chardin as the principle perpetrator of the Piltdown Man Hoax.  He asserts that “Tielhard had to have known and probably took part in the hoax.”  In Ape-Men: Fact or Fallacy? (1977), M. Bowden claims that “the person responsible for placing the fake fossils in the pit at Piltdown was Tielhard de Chardin S.J.”  According to Huse, “Tielhard authored several philosophical books in which he attempted to harmonize evolution and Christianity.  Exasperated by the lack of convincing evidence for Darwin’s theory, Tielhard was apparently motivated into assisting the theory of evolution by fabricating the needed missing link.”  There is no doubt that Tielhard is devilish enough to have come up with the idea.  Not even a scientist himself, Tielhard insinuated his heretical self into the greatest fraud perpetrated on the world in modern times.  As a desperate Darwinist committed to a materialistic philosophy, Tielhard certainly “had a dog in the fight” and would have desperately desired to produce some evidence in support of Darwin’s failed theory.  The Forrest Gump of origin of man archeology, Tielhard was on site in China for the Peking Man fossil discovery.  It is certainly no coincidence that all the fossil evidence for the Peking Man dig vanished while he was present.  Unfortunately for the world, Tielhard had notes for the dig.  Ever the bright boy, Tielhard knew that notes cannot be tested, or contradicted, the way physical fossils can. Voila! Now you see the evidence; now it’s gone!  I wonder if leger de main is French, like Pierre Tielhard de Chardin?

It is worth noting that when people like Tielhard attempt to “harmonize” evolution with Christianity, what they are really doing is undermining the word of God in the Book of Genesis.  Writing in atheist journal Free Inquiry, A.J. Mattill, Jr. writes with discernment “for if there was no Adam, there was no fall; and if there was no fall there was no hell; and if there was no hell, there was no need of Jesus as Second Adam and Incarnate savior, crucified and risen.  As a result, the whole biblical system of salvation collapses…Evolution thus becomes the most potent weapon for destroying the Christian faith.”       (Free Inquiry, vol.2 “Three Cheers for the Creationists,” (Spring 1982).  Check mate  –  “Go home people; there’s no God to see here.”

Karl Marx’ adoration for Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution was so great that he dedicated his book Das Kapital to a man he had never met.  A disciple of Ludwig Feuerbach, Marx well understood that the destruction of religion, and the God of the Bible, was of paramount importance in the destruction of the family and Western civilization itself.   A devout Satanist, Marx believed “everything is worthy of destruction.”  What a Sweetheart! We could interview his family had he not destroyed them.  Is the maid available? Perhaps she would have a kind word for Dear Karl? Oh!…I guess not. We could get a list of the friends who attended the great man’s funeral…had anyone actually shown up.  Drats! Struck out again! W.A. Criswell, long time pastor at First Dallas, thought the topic of evolution important enough to address it in book form.  Writing in Did Man Just Happen? (1957,1972), Criswell (not “The Amazing”) dedicated a chapter to outlining the “Hoaxes of Anthropology.”  Courageous Criswell boldly quotes from Genesis 1:26,27: 2:7 before reminding the reader that “The Lord created man in His own image.”   This had been the prevailing belief for thousands of years before the emergence of the modernist theory of evolution (JB).  Criswell often derides the ludicrous notion that the earth accidently, spontaneously created itself from nothing; and points out what should be obvious; “Out of nothing, nothing comes.”

Criswell’s real contribution to the origins of man debate comes in the chapter’s Conclusion.  After quoting from Anthony Standen’s Science Is a Sacred Cow(1950) on the misleading phrase “missing link” where no chain exists to begin with; Criswell reviews several examples of origins of man fraud before relating how “the multitude of high school teachers and students, as well as the general public, are never told how dubious and unscientific the representations (of precursors to man in textbooks and museums) are.  They are presented in the name of science as being actual and factual, and they are nothing but hoaxes of anthropology.”p.90 (I’m sure Jonathan Wells was inspired by the pastor’s words!)  Dr. Criswell produced my favorite (JB) comment from my many hours of evolution study when he states, “If we are going anywhere, physically, we are going down, we are not coming up.  The great physical specimens of humanity is not today. It was thousands of years ago.” (p.92)  This blends well with JB who also believes that degeneration and devolution are the rule.  People don’t evolve, they devolve! (This is true of everything in the universe.  Entropy cannot be denied.) Parker at JustBelief has long maintained that “The farther away man is from Adam and the creative hand of God, the weaker is the Kool-Aid.”  “And dats da name a dat tune” – Baretta, (1975)

Students in public schools do not need to be dictated to by evolutionary agendists living in fear of competing ideas due to a distinct lack of evidentiary support.  Instead they are fed a diet of distorted, exaggerated, or even faked evidence serving to prop-up the failed theory of Darwinian evolution.  These fabricated misrepresentations seem planned and intentional.  Students should be presented with all relevant arguments and evidence in an unbiased and nonthreatening environment.  Because of the Education Establishment’s leftist ideological commitment, the deck has been stacked in favor of material explanations.  Due to a dearth of evidence, these explanations are not viable, so Darwinists abandon reliance on empirical evidence and instead rely on a materialistic philosophy.  This is certainly not the hallmark of good science.  Darwinists do not consider the possibility of the existence of a creator God.  Any supernatural answer involving a designing Creator is ruled out before the question of the origin of the species is even asked.  This condition amounts to a rigged game where the most correct answer is forbidden from consideration. Consider that discoveries in the fossil record, advances in molecular biology, the complex nature of the cell, information functions in DNA and the origins of the genetic code have all been lethal to Darwin’s theory of evolution.

When one considers that a satisfactory explanation for the origins of the first cell has never been produced, the collapse of evolution must be considered complete!  Conversely, no new evidence, or new scientific discoveries, has ever undermined the biblical account of creation and life’s origins.  They have instead made the possibility of a creator God more plausible.  Jonathan Wells states, “Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evidence.”   (Critique of Darwinist Icons, YouTube)  Thomas “Show me the Evidence” Sowell would surely concur!  Evolution still appears as a faith based belief system devoid of scientific or evidential support.  William Paley’s 200 year old Watchmaker analogy, regularly held up by modern scientists for derision, still reigns supreme as the best explanation for the way life developed in our world.  Apparently, the world that Richard Dawkins said “looked designed” ….well, there is a reason for its fabricated appearance.  Our universe was conceived by an all powerful personality.  This necessary, maximally great being, acting outside of time and space, is in fact, the God of the Bible. (“I know; I checked.”)

The inerrant word of God found in Scripture, demonstrated as such over the course of Norman Geisler’s exemplary career, clearly states in Romans 1:18-23 “For what can be known about God is plain to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power, and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they (evolutionists) became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. (ESV) Romans 1:24-25 goes on to say that “man willingly exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the Creature / Creation rather than the Creator.”

Evolution Fraud from JustBelief chronicles that Darwinian Evolution consists of known lies that are replaced with a new fraud each time an Icon of Evolution is exposed.  (Check the record, there are no coincidences; each time an Icon “falls,” a new Icon is waiting in the wings to be propagandized for purposes of indoctrination.)  These few verses from the Book of Romans are an apt description of man’s humanistic turn away from God and toward evolution and the worship of man and the worship of Mother Nature of Gaia and the Creature.  Rather than worship nothing, scientific materialism has opened the door to worship anything but God.  JB believes that occultic offerings from the New Age have been the primary beneficiary in filling this God-less vacuum. (see 1Tim.4) The New Age Movement IS Coming! and thanks to evolutionary agendists, it willcontinue to gain ground on the Christian Faith.

The naturalism of evolution rules God out of consideration a priori as the best explanation of why anything exists and how man came to be.  Science should never be in the business of ruling out a potential answer before a question can be asked.  It looks, and is, completely dishonest for evolutionary agendists to be in the business of “picking winners.”  Harvard evolutionary biologist Richard Lewontin, and author and actual prophet Aldous Huxley, provide honest accounts for their motivations.  Lewontin states that “A divine foot must not be allowed in the door” and Huxley distilled the rationale of atheists like his brother Julian, that considerations of sexual freedom and avoiding accountability to God in a meaningless world provided license to behave as he wanted.  This liberation from biblical morality echoed the mantra of Aleister Crowley, “Satan’s Chief of Staff,” “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law,” that being, the Law of Thelema.  For humanists like the Huxley brothers, a God-less universe means God’s word (the Bible) is of no consequence and their carnal appetites need not be constrained.  (Consider that there is no such thing as good and evil in a Godless Hinduistic universe where all is God and all is One.)

Due to the Darwinist’s consistent history of evolutionary fraud, the public, young people in particular, are losing confidence in mechanistic scientific explanations concerning the origins of life.  Students should be presented with all relevant evidence and explanations concerning the origins of life on Earth in an environment free of coercion.  Instead, their search for truth has been limited to explanations that are materialistic and have a naturalistic evolutionary bias.  These fraud laden conclusions have been foisted on the public despite their being consistently undermined by the fossil record and scientific discovery.  The scientific and education establishments must become fair dealers in the determination of life’s origins in order to restore confidence in our school’s science classrooms.  No question is more important to the determination of young people’s world view and to the way they conduct their lives.
