Books from Leading Atheists

Leading atheists are by definition anti-God, which by extension makes them anti-Christ as well.  JustBelief provides here a list of atheist publications by the leading lights of atheism, dim though they be, that have been the most influential throughout the last 100 years. (If especially interested, German higher critics, such as Ludwig Feuerbach, Wellhausen and others, are not listed and can be found elsewhere.)  Only their most popular books, the ones I have heard discussed, are included on the list.  Bear in mind that atheists would never include arguments exposing the weaknesses in their atheist positions since they realize their positions are so incredibly weak.  Christian apologists definitely have the stronger arguments and have no fear of open debate or analysis.  You will never see Christian apologists like Frank Turek, or William Lane Craig avoiding public debates in the way Richard Dawkins does. (Hitchens, Shermer, and Barker are fairly fearless, however.)  As the career of noted apologist Norman Geisler forcefully demonstrates, Christians possess the best arguments on the existence of God, the resurrection and divinity of Jesus the Christ, and biblical inerrancy as well.  The stellar work of apologists like Josh McDowell, Doug Groothuis, John W. Montgomery, Gary Habermas  and others attest to the strength of the Christian apologetic position.
